THE COURSE
Local Rules
Out of bounds is defined by the line between the inside points, at ground level, of the white stakes and fence posts, as well as any part of the course marked as such (vertical white lines or white lines painted on the ground). On walls and curbs that mark the out of bounds, the boundary is defined by the inside face of those walls or curbs.
Internal Out of Bounds → On HOLE 10: the entire right side marked by white stakes or lines. These stakes are considered immovable obstructions when playing a hole other than 10.
All unpaved paths and trails, along with any wooden sleepers within them, their curbs, steps, ramps and fences, and the stone walls on holes 7, 8, 9, 10, and 13.
The following are considered immovable obstructions: the water tank on hole 3, all concrete and/or asphalt roads and paths, young trees marked with blue tape and their planting areas, young trees with stakes and their planting areas, and drainage grates near the green.
The following are considered ground under repair: areas marked with blue stakes, areas outlined by white lines on the ground, stacked grass, drainage ditches with soil or gravel (including the ditch on the left side of hole 12).
Deep ruts caused by vehicles or machinery (superficial marks are not included).
Flowerbeds in the general area, the nursery near holes 16 and 17, and the croquet court between holes 10, 12, and 13 are designated as no play zones and must be treated as abnormal course conditions. Relief must be taken without penalty for interference with a no play zone, in accordance with Rule 16.1f.
The Code of Conduct of RCG Castiello applies.
The established Pace of Play Policy applies, including timing per hole. This is displayed on the caddie master’s notice board, as well as on the RCG Castiello website and mobile app.
Rule 3.3b(2) is modified as follows: If a player returns a scorecard without the scores being certified by the player, the marker, or both, the player incurs the general penalty (two penalty strokes). The penalty is applied to the last hole of the player’s round.
The following signals will be used to suspend and resume play:
Nota: When play is suspended due to imminent danger, all practice areas will be closed immediately.
NOTE: Preferred Lies (Model Local Rule E-3)
If preferred lies are exceptionally allowed, the procedure shall be as follows:
When a player’s ball lies in a part of the general area cut to fairway height or lower, the player may take relief without penalty once only by placing the original ball or another ball, and playing it from this relief area:
When proceeding under this Local Rule, the player must choose a spot to place the ball and follow the procedures for replacing a ball under Rules 14.2b(2) and 14.2e.
